Before sending a notice
StorySaver is a tool for publicly available media and does not host the original Instagram posts. If the material exists only on Instagram, use Instagram's copyright reporting process. Contact StorySaver when the complaint concerns a StorySaver-controlled page, link, cached file, or other material within our control.
Consider whether permission, a license, fair use, or another legal exception applies. A knowingly false claim may have legal consequences. This page is procedural information, not legal advice.
Information required in a copyright notice
Send a written notice that identifies the copyrighted work, identifies the StorySaver URL or material claimed to infringe, and provides enough information for us to locate it. Include your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
Your notice must include a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act; and your physical or electronic signature.
Where to send the notice
Email the complete notice to hello@storysaver.site with the subject line DMCA Notice. This address is the designated contact channel for StorySaver copyright requests. We may request missing information before acting on an incomplete notice.
When appropriate, we may remove or restrict access to material within our control and notify the affected party. We may retain the request as reasonably necessary for compliance, security, and dispute handling.
Counter-notices
If you believe material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice identifying the removed material and its prior location, with your name, address, telephone number, and physical or electronic signature.
The counter-notice must include a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, plus consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States Federal District Court and acceptance of service from the original claimant or their agent. Seek legal advice before submitting one if you are unsure.
Repeat infringement and abuse
Where applicable and within our control, StorySaver may restrict users or material associated with repeated infringement. We may reject abusive, fraudulent, or materially incomplete requests.
