Responsible Use and Copyright

StorySaver can help you save public Instagram media, but the download button does not give you ownership of someone else's work.

Public does not mean free to reuse

A story can be public and still belong to the creator. Photos, videos, music, artwork, brand content, and captions may all have rights attached to them.

Saving a file for personal reference is different from reposting it, editing it into another video, using it in ads, or putting it on another website.

Good ways to use StorySaver

You can use StorySaver to save your own stories, keep a personal note, collect inspiration, remember a public event update, or download content you have permission to use.

Do not use downloaded media to mislead people, impersonate creators, remove credit, ignore takedown requests, or harass someone.

No private account access

StorySaver is for public Instagram content. It does not support private account downloads or locked stories.

If a creator removes a story, makes an account private, or deletes a highlight, respect that choice.

Permission, attribution, and commercial reuse

Ask the creator before republishing, editing, distributing, or using downloaded media commercially. Attribution is respectful but does not automatically replace permission or a required license.

Content can include several rights at once, such as photography, music, trademarks, performances, or personal likeness. If your planned use is public, promotional, sensitive, or commercial, obtain appropriate permission and professional advice when needed.

Report suspected infringement or misuse

To report a concern involving StorySaver, email hello@storysaver.site with the StorySaver page URL, the work or right involved, and enough detail for us to review the issue. Do not send passwords or private account credentials.

For a formal copyright removal request, follow the DMCA Policy. StorySaver cannot remove media hosted by Instagram; reports about Instagram-hosted material should also be sent through Instagram's own reporting process.
