How to Download Instagram Stories

Downloading Instagram stories is easy when the story is public and still available. Here is the simple way to use StorySaver on mobile or desktop.

Step 1: Copy the Instagram story link

First, open Instagram and find the story you want to save. Tap the share option or the three-dot menu and copy the story link. If a direct link is not available, copy the public profile username.

Make sure the account is public. Private stories, expired stories, and deleted stories cannot be downloaded through StorySaver.

Step 2: Paste it into StorySaver

Open StorySaver in your browser, paste the copied story link or username in the downloader box, and press Download. The tool will check for available public media.

You do not need to sign in to Instagram. If a downloader asks for your password just to save a public story, it is better to avoid it.

Step 3: Preview and save the file

After processing, StorySaver shows the story photo or video that can be saved. Check the preview, choose the file you need, and download it to your device.

Keep downloaded media for personal use unless you own it or have permission. A public story can still be protected by copyright or privacy rules.
